All three capsules share the same core design and include ClickTight® installation, travel-system compatibility, a lightweight design, a three-position carry handle, a rearward-facing level indicator and easy one-hand lift. They are also designed to be slim on the outside while providing plenty of space inside for growing babies.
The main differences are their fabrics, inserts, canopies and convenience features:
- B Pod is the premium model, with Seawool fabric, a full-size reversible insert, premium detailing, magnetic harness holders and an extra-large double-layer canopy with a pull-out mesh screen. It also includes a dedicated low-birth-weight harness configuration for smaller babies.
- B Pod Lite includes a full-size removable insert and extra-large canopy for additional comfort and coverage.
- B Pod Go is the streamlined model, with a retractable canopy and the core installation, travel and everyday convenience features shared across the range.
Yes. The B Pod, B Pod Lite and B Pod Go are all designed for rearward-facing use from birth until your baby’s shoulders reach the shoulder-height marker, which is approximately 12 months of age. As babies grow at different rates, always use the shoulder-height marker rather than age alone to determine suitability.
Your baby can continue using the B Pod Lite capsule in the rearward-facing position until their shoulders reach the shoulder-height marker, which is generally around 12 months of age. As babies grow at different rates, the marker—not their age—is the best guide.
Once your baby’s shoulders reach or sit above the marker, they have outgrown the capsule and should move into the next-stage child restraint. For the best protection, we recommend keeping your child rearward facing for as long as possible.
Yes. The B-Pod Lite capsule is suitable for aircraft use without its base. The top tether is not required for aircraft installation, and the base must be checked in for use at your destination.
Contact the airline when booking, as approval, aircraft layouts, seating positions and seatbelt types can vary. The capsule may not fit on some smaller aircraft and cannot be used with an aircraft seatbelt containing an airbag unless the airbag can be disabled. Always follow the airline’s directions and the aircraft installation instructions in the user manual.
