If sticky liquids such as baby formula or fruit juice get inside your harness buckle, it may become sluggish. A common sign of this is when you no longer hear a clear click when fastening the last harness tongue.
To restore the buckle to proper working order, follow these steps:
• Remove the harness buckle from the restraint: From the underside of the restraint pull each crotch strap 3-bar slide, turn the 3-bar slide on its side and push back through the slot.
• Rinse the buckle under warm running water (max. 40°C): Let the water flow through the mouth of the buckle for around five minutes. Test the buckle by clicking the harness tongues in and out several times until you hear a strong, audible click..
• If the click is still weak or missing: Repeat the cleaning process a few more times.
• Refit the harness buckle: Make sure the red button is facing outward, and feed the 3-bar slide back through the same slots.
If the harness buckle still can’t be restored to its original working condition, we recommend contacting our Customer Service team for further assistance.
