Safe-n-Sound child restraints are manufactured to the Australia/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS1754 which require the advice of users of child restraints to "Destroy the entire restraint if it has been in use in a severe crash, even if no damage is obvious". This applies whether an occupant is in the seat or not.
