Is Thermo5™ natural?
Thermo5™is a man made fabric. The manufacturing process requires bamboo charcoal to be blended with polyester resulting in a high performance fabric.
What is the Thermo5™ fabric made from?
The fabric is Polyester, made from a blend of Bamboo/Charcoal and Polyester.
How will Thermo5™ wear compared to the traditional covers used previously?
Thermo5™ is a superior fabric and as a sign of our belief in the added quality and performance we feel confident to extend our warranty coverage.
Our warranty covers faulty workmanship or manufacturing faults, and does not cover normal wear and tear or failure due to improper care.
What chemicals are used when manufacturing the Thermo5™ fabric?
Polyester yarn has no chemicals and we do not chemically treat our fabrics. All of our child restraint fabrics and soft goods comply with the AS/NZS 1754 STD.
The polyester yarn we use is similar to the type used in the manufacture of pillows and doonas.
Are there any flame retardants?
We don’t use flame retardants. Synthetic /polyester fabrics have flame retardant properties and this is why we use them in accordance with the AS/NZS 1754 Child Restraints Standard.
Can I buy Thermo5™ covers for my other seats?

What is wicking?
Wicking benefits the child by keeping them drier and more comfortable Wicking material is fabric that’s been specifically designed to through construction and or composition to draw/ pull moisture away from the body.
Why do I need wicking?
Newborns can generate a lot of heat especially when rearward facing and behind the head. Wicking benefits the child by keeping them drier and more comfortable.

With moisture being drawn away from the baby, will it develop an odour with time?
To keep your cover fresh we recommend cleaning. Please refer to your instruction manual and the care label on your cover for detailed instructions.
Where does the moisture go?
Moisture is absorbed from the surface of the fabric and overtime will evaporate, however it does depend on the level of moisture. For example drink spillages will not be absorbed and would require cleaning as per your instruction manual and the care label on your cover.

Thermo5™ fabric has been tested and meets the regulatory requirements of AS:NZS 1754.
