Q. Can I install a child restraint into my vehicle without going to a professional restraint fitter?
A. Yes, you can install your child restraint as every restraint comes with a comprehensive instruction manual.

Q. Can I use seatbelt extenders for easier access when using my booster seat?
A. Britax does not recommend them being used with any of our booster seats. We cannot guarantee that the lap belt would be fitted in the correct position across the hips when used in conjunction with an aftermarket seat belt extender.

Q. When is my child too big for the restraint I’m using?
A. INFANT CARRIER When your child's shoulders are level with the top slot of their Infant Carrier it is time to move into a larger seat.
CONVERTIBLE CAR SEAT Your child is too big for a Convertible Car Seat when their shoulders are 25mm above the top harness slot.
BOOSTER SEAT If your child’s eyes are above the top of the Booster Seat back when seated, this is an indication to move to the next form of seat.
BOOSTER CUSHION If using a Booster Cushion with no back (e.g. Nova) then the child’s eye level must be below the car seat back or headrest when the child is seated.

Q. Why does my baby have to travel rearward facing?
A. In a frontal accident it is safer to spread the forces of an accident across a fully supported back than to be suspended in a harness. Additionally a baby’s head is largely unsupported and vulnerable to being thrown violently forward if in a forward facing restraint.
