Safe-n-Sound Convertible Car Seats

"Convertible" refers to the car seats ability to convert from rearward facing to forward facing position. Experts recommend that you use the restraint in rearward mode to approx. 12 months. Forward facing a Convertible car seat will accommodate a child up to approx. 4 years.

Rearward Facing (From birth up to approx. 12mths of age)
In rearward facing your Platinum AHR Air Cushion can be used for babies until their
shoulder's reach the Lower Shoulder Height Marker. The seat then needs to be turned to
forward facing.

Forward Facing (From approx. 12 mths to 4 years old)
In forward facing your Platinum AHR Air Cushion can be used when the child's
shoulder's are in line with the Lower Shoulder Height Marker (approx. 12 months of age) until their
shoulder's reach the Upper Shoudler Height Marker (approx. 4 years old)

	Air Cushion maximises head protection by dramatically reducing side impact forces. As the cushion compresses it dispels air at a controlled rate, and this results in the cushion absorbing crash energy. Head accelerations experienced by a child in Platinum AHR Air Cushion are lower and dispersed over a longer period of time.
	AHR Tilt & Adjust Headrest features deep side wings that shield and contain your child's head in a side impact crash. Unique AHR (active head restraint) is designed to be adjusted as your child grows. Tilt, Pull & Adjust.
	Hassle free harness is a one pull height adjustable headrest which automatically repositions the harness.

Crash Exchange Program

Our family had a bad accident in October 2011 on our 10th anniversary. Our car was struck from behind whilst we were stationary at 70km, our car was written off, the whole back of the car was completely crushed and the side back doors bent in, we couldn’t even open the doors. The rear windows were also smashed and the car chassis completely twisted. Our front passenger seats had split in half internally and had collapsed back, Whilst our sound and sound car seat was sitting in back seat with no visible damage and had looked new as if it hadn’t been in an accident at all. We are also happy to report that all passengers were totally fine apart from the driver and front passenger having whiplash. We will be more than happy to purchase these car seats again and in fact with another on the way will be getting 2 new ones to product our children. Our insurance company didn’t not include car seats as per their Product Disclose Statement, which we were very disappointed as we had purchased the top of the line Safe and sound with the best child seat safety rating, and we were ecstatic to find that Britax/Safe and Sound offered a crash exchange program for the benefit and safety of our children. As a business to offer this, I feel this is a remarkable initiative and shows that they truly care about our little ones, even at their own cost. Thankyou so much for providing such as wonderful product protecting our children and also providing us with a new seat to keep our daughter safe, we are truly grateful.
